A call for camp counselors - Summer 2005

Camp Woody is a Christian camp serving the youth of Kodiak and greater Alaska area. It is located on Woody Island which offers many opportunities for exploring and hiking within the pristine forests of Alaska. Woody Island provides five lakes and thirteen miles of island to explore.

Camp Woody is accepting applications for counselors for Summer 2005. Applicants must have a commitment to sharing their personal Christian faith with young people and ability to teach and relate to youth in grades three through high school. Counselors will be scheduled to work for five weeks, July 5th through August 7th.

Individuals interested in a full summer of children's ministry may combine counseling at Camp Woody with working in Kodiak Baptist Mission's Summer Day Camp Program. The Camp Woody facilities include cabins (usually assigned to the boys), a dormitory (usually assigned to the girls), a dining hall, chapel, recreation building and craft building. Some of the camp activities include chapel time, devotional time with counselors, hiking, canoeing, fishing, swimming, volleyball, crafts, campfires, cookouts, exploring, games….
